Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

As the substance is solid and has a melting point ≤ 160 °C, no experimental determination of the parameter is required.

Additional information

According to Annex VII "Standard Information Requirements for Substances Manufactured or Imported in Quantities of one Tonne or More" of the "Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency, amending Directive 1999/45/EC and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 and Commission Regulation (EC) No 1488/94 as well as Council Directive 76/769/EEC and Commission Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and 2000/21/EC” (as amended) (OJ L 396, 30.12.2006, p.1) 7.12 the "study does not need to be conducted:

— if the substance is explosive or ignites spontaneously with air at room temperature, or

— for liquids non flammable in air, e.g. no flash point up to 200 °C, or

— for gases having no flammable range, or

— for solids, if the substance has a melting point ≤ 160 °C, or if preliminary results exclude self-heating of the substance up to 400 °C."

As the substance is solid and has a melting point ≤ 160 °C, no experimental determination of the parameter is required.
