Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Water quality standards (WQS) for dichlopyr were derived as described in the report from the Danish EPA: “Principper for fastsættelse af vandkvalitetskriterier for stoffer i overfladevand” [Principles for establishment of Water Quality Standards for substances in surface waters] (Miljøstyrelsen, 2004). The available data included studies from short-term studies with species from three trophic levels and one long-term NOEC for crustacean.

With two NOEC values (crustacean long-term and algae short term) from two trophic levels an assessment factor of respectively 50 and 500 was used on the lowest ECNOECfor freshwater and saltwater respectively.

However as PNECsec.pois.wis lower than PNECwater,the value for PNECsec.pois.wis used as the WQS.

A Maximum Acceptable Concentration (MAC) was derived on the basis of the lowest E/LC50-value and an assessment factor of 100.

WQSfreshwater= 0.53 µg/l

WQSsaltwater= 0.53 µg/l

MAC = 30 µg/l
