First-aid measures

General Information:
Change contaminated clothing.
In case of skin contact:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
In case of eye contact:
Immediately flush eye(s) with plenty of water.
If swallowed:
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water.

Fire-fighting measures

Additional advice:
The product itself does not burn. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Fire may cause evolution of: NOx. Cool containers / tanks with water spray. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire may cause evolution of: NH3.

Do not let enter drains/ surface water/ ground water.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Use mechanical handling equipment. Soak up with a liquid binder (e.g. sand, universal binder). Put into suitable containers and take for recycling or disposal. Flush away residues with water.

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with
REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the
substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should
be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in
REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling
arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal
protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is
available at each manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received
from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s
intermediate.

Polyvinylchloride Ensure that the type of material and the quality of the body protective equipment correspond with the recommendations of the producer for your particular type of work. Follow EN 374.
Skin and body protection:
Light protective clothing.
Hygiene measures:
When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Respiratory protection:
No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods
Waste from residues:
In accordance with the waste recycling/disposal regulations, has to be taken to an approved waste disposal facility. The classification of the waste has to be made according to its source in accordance with the European waste code regulations.
Contaminated packaging:
Disposal according to the regulations, contaminated packaging has to be treated in the same way as the substance itself. Packaging should be completely emptied, and then taken to an approved recycler after appropriate cleaning.
