Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of 2-methyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) prop-2-enamide (SPM-N) to aquatic invertebrates was investigated in a study by Migchielsen (2008b). The test was performed according to OECD Guideline 202, under GLP conditions. Daphnia magna was exposed for 48 hours to the test material within a static water regime at 20 ± 1 °C. Analytical determination of the test concentration (limit test, 100 mg/L nominal concentration) was performed using HPLC with UV detection. No effects in daphnid mobility or any other adverse effects were reported after 48 hours, resulting in an EC50 (48 h) > 29 mg/L (measured concentration).
