Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-6-cyano-5-[bis(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)carbamoyloxy]-1 H-pyrrolo[1 ,2-b][1 ,2,4]triazole-7-carboxylic acid-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl-cyclohexyl ester (UC-141) is a non-volatile substance, based on a vapour pressure value of 0.0045 Pa at 20 °C. Therefore, volatilization into air, accumulation and subsequent transport through the atmospheric compartment is not expected for this substance. Hydrolysis is not likely to be a relevant degradation pathway in the environmental fate of UC-141, due to the highly insoluble nature of the substance (water solubility < 0.08 mg/L at 20 °C). The results of the ready biodegradation test show that UC-141 is not readily biodegradable, with 11% biodegradation after 28 days. Based on a log Kow of 7.7, UC-141 is likely to show bioaccumulation potential in biota. Due to its low volatility, low water solubility and high potential for adsorption (log Koc > 5.63) to solid particles, UC-141 will be mainly distributed in the soil and sediment compartments, if released into the environment.
