Additional information

Fluometuron is not hydrolysing in pure water. The biodegradation rate depends on the medium. In water/sewage systems only small biodegradation was found (BOD 5 = 0.55).

The degradation products effective for the environment are well known from several more detailed studies and EFSA reviews (EFSA.europa.eu) for Fluometuron. Degradation products were determined in assessemnts to be Desmethylfluoemturon, Di-Desmethylfluoemturon and more fragmented molecules.
