FINDINGS

Safety Pre-Test

The test item changed the colour to black. A small yellow-orange coloured flame was observed. The test item expanded, when there was a contact with a flame of the teclu burner.

Preliminary Screening Test

The test item changed the colour to black. When there was a contact with a flame of the teclu burner, the test item expanded (bubble formation) and a yellow-orange flame was observed. No signs of flammability were observed.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

No ignition was observed throughout the course of the test.

The test item AF-959 should be considered as not highly flammable (for EU regulations) and non-flammable solid (for UN regulations), resp. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.
