The influence of Diammoniumdithiodiglycolate (DADTDG) on aquatic organisms representing three different trophic levels was investigated.

The acute toxicity values were:

Oncorhynchus mykiss 96 h-LC50 > 100 mg/L (WoE),

Daphnia magna 48 h-EC50 > 100 mg/L, and

Desmodesmus subspicatus 72 h-ErC50 > 100 mg/L.

In conclusion, all three taxonomic groups show the same range of toxicity > 100 mg/L.

Based on these results and on the fact that DADTDG was shown to be readily biodegradable and has a low log Pow, there is no need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. No classification for DADTDG is needed.
