Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The test substance is considered readily biodegradable, although not fulfilling the 10 -day window criterion. Based on a reliable QSAR estimate, the test substance is not expected to bioconcentrate. The test substance produced no signs of toxicity in acute aquatic studies on fish, daphnids or algae up to the limiting water solubility attainable. It is not classified as a carcinogen, mutagen or reproductive hazard. There is no other evidence of chronic toxicity for the test substance.

Likely routes of exposure:

The most likely route of human exposure is dermal. The very low vapor pressure of the test material precludes any significant inhalation exposure. Also, based on the physical-chemical properties as well as measured dermal absorption rates for similar materials (Belsito et al., 2007), the test substance is expected to have a low rate of dermal absorption through intact human skin.
