Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: In case of excessive inhalation remove the person to fresh
air and keep at rest in a comfortable position. Obtain
medical advice immediately
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water.
If irritation persists or any sign of tissue damage is
apparent, obtain medical advice immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing (Note: wash before re-use)
Wash off skin immediately with plenty of water, using soap
if available. If irritation persists or any sign of tissue
damage is apparent, obtain medical advice immediately.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Give up to 0.25L water or milk to
drink. Do not induce vomitting. Obtain medical advice
immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry chemical, CO2, water mist
Product arising from burning: Theoretically only COx and H2O
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: No specific protective equipment necessary
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Provide Adequate Ventilation.
Collect material by mechanical means and dispose of in
accordance with local regulations, preferably by
incineration.
Regeneration is possible by distillation.
Handling and storage
Handling: Good occupational hygiene should be observed. As with all
fragrances th material should be handled in well ventilated
area's and contact with skin and eyes should be avoided.
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place in a well closed container.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None identified
Chemical reaction with water: Substance does not react with water
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery/recycling, is possible via distillation. However,
since the material is put on the market only in preparations
this is often not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Possible but not preferred
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method of destruction, generates only CO2 H2O
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not readily biodegradable
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Public at large will only be exposed to the material via the
perfumed end products. The concentration of the material in
these is extremely low (less than 0.1%).
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable, see above
