The bioaccumulation study was performed according to the OECD Guideline No. 305. The study was carried out to determine the extent of accumulation of test item by the carp, Cyprinus carpio during the exposure period of 28 days.
Nominal exposure levels: Level 1: 5 µg/L; Level 2: 0.5 µg/L.
Test was performed at 24.0-25.0 °C and dissolved oxygen was 7.2 - 8.3 mg/L. Analyses of test water and fish were conducted on Days 3, 6, 12, 19, 24 and 28 after exposure using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Bioconcentration factor (BCF) was calculated.

To assess the bioaccumulation potential of the registered substance, one key study is available. This study was performed according to the OECD Guideline 305 with GLP statement in oder to determine the extent of accumulation of registered substance by the carp, Cyprinus carpio, during the exposure period of 28 days. Two nominal exposure levels of the test substance were used (5 µg/L for the Level 1 and 0.5 µg/L for the Level 2, corresponding to mean measured concentrations of 4.68 +/- 0.189 µg/L and 0.420 +/- 0.0217 µg/L, respectively).
Analyses of test water and fish were conducted on Days 3, 6, 12, 19, 24 and 28 after exposure using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and the Bioconcentration factor (BCF) were calculate. According to the results of this study, it was confirmed that the steady state in both concentration levels was achieved on the 28th day of exposure and the BCFs of the test substance were comprised between 8.4 and 20 for both concentration levels (same result). No abnormality in behavior or appearance was noted.
