Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No data is currently available for alcohols, C9 -C11 (odd numbered), branched and linear, however data are available for C11 and C9 -C11 multi-constituent analogue.

A 96 h LC50 value of 0.8 -1.1 mg/L has been determined for the effect of undecanol on the mortality of the brackish water invertebrate Nitocra spinipes.

A reliable 48 h EC50 value of 7 mg/L has been determined for the effects of Alcohols, C9-11-linear and branched on the immobility of the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna.

A reliable 96 h LC50 value of 4.6 mg/L has been determined for the effects of Alcohols, C9-11-linear and branched on the mortality of the marine invertebrate Crangon crangon. This study has been selected as key as it is the only reliable value available for short-term toxicity to aquatic marine invertebrates.

Another reliable study reports a 48 h EC50 value of 8.5 mg/L with the freshwater invertebrate D. magna for Alcohols, C9 -C11 linear and branched.

These data are read-across to alcohols, C9 -C11 (odd numbered), branched and linear.
