Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: EC50 (24h) >100 mg/l, EC50 (48h) was 54 mg/l (38-78 mg/l, 95% confidence limits) for Daphnia magna (US EPA EG-1 (8.10.1982)).

Additional information

Fluometuron is of low toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: No treatment related effects were observed in the controls or solvent controls. The 24 hour EC50 for Daphnia magna was calculated as >100 mg/l and the 48 hour EC50 was 54 mg/l (38-78 mg/l, 95% confidence limits). These were based on nominal concentrations.
