Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The endpoint is waived for the solid commercial product Dissolvine D-Fe-7.

The vapour pressure of Dissolvine D-Fe-3 (27% DTPA-FeNa2 aqueous solution) at 55°C is 107 mbar, that is 10.7 kPa. The measured vapour pressure is due to the water content.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
10.7 kPa
at the temperature of:
55 °C

Additional information

The solid commercial product Dissolvine D-Fe-7 does not melt under the decomposition temperature of 159°C (See 4.2), so the vapour pressure will be low. Based on its multiple carboxylic acid salt functionality the pure substance will exhibit negligible vapour pressure. Because of its high polarity the substance always contains a few % of water so the vapour pressure exhibited by this substance is expected to be that of the adherent water.

The measured vapour pressure of the product Dissolvine D-Fe-3 (27% DTPA-FeNa2 aqueous solution) is caused by the prresence of water.
