The estimated auto-ignition temperature was 280°C.

Main study:

The results of the main study on the determination of the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance are given in Table 1.

Ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was < 10°C. According to the guidelines, no further testing was required.

The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 255°C. This temperature was a multiple of 5°C and therefore given as the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 255°C at 1015.2 – 1016.2 hPa using a commercially available auto-ignition temperature apparatus. The test was performed in accordance with EC A.15, DIN 51794 and IEC 79-4 and according to the principles of GLP.

A measured auto-ignition temperature value of 255°C at 1015.2 - 1016.2 hPa was determined for the substance in accordance with an appropriate test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

The key study is supported by another measured auto-ignition temperature value of 255°C at 1008.7 to 1019.7 hPa using a relevant test method but not in compliance with a known quality system.
