Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
surface tension
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because water solubility is below 1 mg/L at 20°C
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
reference to other study
Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
10 May - 29 August 2016
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EPA OPPTS 830.7840 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Name (as stated in the report): Velvione
Batch: VE00413992
Expiration date: January 01, 2017
Key result
Water solubility:
0.65 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 6.3 - <= 6.4
Details on results:
At test end the pH values of the solutions in ultrapure water were pH 6.3, pH 6.4 on two independent flasks.
Conclusions:
The test shows that there is no significant change of the measured concentrations after 288 h, 312 h and 336 h. Thus it can be concluded that equilibrium is reached. Thus the results obtained after 288 h, 312 h and 336 h were averaged, to give the water solubility of Velvione. After rounding off: Solubility of Velvione in water at 20°C: 0.65 mg/l
Executive summary:

The solubility of Velvione in ultrapure water was determined according to the OECD Guideline No. 105 (flask method).

The result is: Solubility in water: 0.65 mg/l at 20°C

This result corresponds to the saturation mass concentrations of Velvione in ultrapure water at 20°C.
