Additional information

Surface tension of Clearlink 1000 was determined according to the OECD guideline 115 by using the Plate method and according to ASTM D 971 by using the ring method. The surface tension of the OECD study at 23 °C was used as a key value for the CSA. According to Method A.5 in directive 92/69/EEC under the conditions of ring method, substances showing a surface tension lower than 60 mN/m should be regarded as being surface-active materials considering that distilled water has a surface tension of 72.75 mN/m at 20 °C. Based on the results of Clearlink 1000, it can be considered as surface active material.
