Hydrolysis as a function of pH of the Clearlink 1000 was conducted according to OECD guideline 111 and carried out in accordance with GLP. The study was performed in duplicate at three pH values i.e. 4, 7 and 9. An increase in concentration was observed after 5 days in the preliminary test. According to the guideline, no further tests were required but in order to find an explanation for the increase of concentration with time an additional test was performed at pH 7. In the second test, it was determined that variation between replicates was large enough to explain the apparent increase in sample concentration.The results of the preliminary test and the additional test show that that the half-life time of the Clearlink 1000 at 25°C is > 1 year at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9. This was as expected based on the molecular structure of the test substance. Secondary amines such as Clearlink 1000 are hydrolytically stable substances.
