3.5 mg/L

Additional information

For the toxicity to algae, one study on marine algae is available for Reaction products of D-Glucose, n-Butanol and C10-12 (even numbered) alcohols.

The algae Skeletonema costatum was used for testing according to ISO 10253 and GLP. Test concentrations of 1, 5, 25 and 100 mg/L nominal were applied. This key study exhibited an EC50 (72 h) of 8.4 mg a.i./L and a related NOEC of 3.5 mg a.i./L based on growth rate (AnalyCen ecotox, 1998).
