Additional information

Information regarding boiling point of potassium gluconate was sourced from Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, and Biologicals (14th Ed.) and the Condensed Chemical Dictionary (10th Ed.), which are known to contain peer-reviewed data of Klimisch-2 reliability. Boiling point of potassium gluconate also was sourced from a published article by Prescott et al. (1953) of Klimisch-4 reliability with insufficient documentation. Information obtained from the aforementioned sources is comparable and state that the substance decomposes at 180°C (corresponding to 453.15K) before boiling.
