Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Mutagenicity in vitro - bacterial systems:

The mutagenicity was tested in an Ames assay using the tester strains TA1535, TA1537, TA98, and TA100. The substance was tested in the following concentrations: 0.2, 2, 20, 200, 2000 µg per plate with and without a metabolic activation system (S9 -Mix of Aroclor 1254 induced rat liver). Under the given criteria for mutagenicity (doubling of spontaneous reversion rate and dose-response relationship), the test item was not mutagenic in the used test system. The study was performed equivalent to an outdated version of OECD TG 471 ( only 4 tester strains were used). The study is therefore considered to be valid with restrictions.

Short description of key information:
The substance is not mutagenic in an Ames assay using the tester strains TA1535, TA1537, TA98, and TA100, with and without metabolic activation (Ciba 1978).
