Classification and labelling according to aquatic toxicity data

Justification for classification or non classification

Three acute tests have been performed with fish, daphnia and algae. The lowest effects concentration has been observed in daphnia (EC50=9.6 mg/L). Therefore, a the substance is classified according to risk phrases R51 (DSD). The substance is not classified according to acute toxicity H400 (CLP). However the EC50 would indicate a hazard if persistent.

Justification for classification or non classification

The substance is not readily biodegradable and has a logPow of 4.51. Therefore the risk phrase R53 (DSD) applies. Classification according to environmental hazards according to CLP is not applicable as the substance hydrolyses rapidly with a life life of 20h.
