Additional information

According to EC no. 1907/2006 Annex IX, long-term toxicity tests to daphnids shall be proposed if the result of the Chemical Safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects of the substance and/or relevant degradation products on aquatic organisms. The results of short-term toxicity studies on all three trophic levels demonstrated that algae are the most sensitive organisms on which the test substance was tested. The L(E)C50-values on fish and daphnids were clearly above the trigger value of 100 mg/L. Due to the low acute toxicity to fish and daphnids, the available EC10 value on green algae and for reasons of animal welfare, the risk to daphnids is expected to be low and no long term study on daphnids will be provided.
