Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General: Unconcious: Maintain adequate airway and respiration.
Eye contact: IMMEDIATELY flush with plenty of water. Continue for 15 minutes. Call a physician.
Skin contact: Wash affected area with soap and water. Remove clothing.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Call a physician.
Ingestion: Give 2 glasses of water. IMMEDIATELY call a physician or poison control. Do not induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
Flammability class: IIIB
Flash point: >500 F (Pensky-Martens closed cup)
Flammable limits: n.a.
Extinguishing media: Water, foam, CO2, dry chemical
Special fire-fighting procedures: Wear self contained breathing apparatus and full protective body suit.
Unusual fire and explosion hazard: Decomposition and combustion products may be toxic.
Accidental release measures
Clean up: Observe precautions from other sections. Cover with absorbent material. Collect spilled material. Clean up residue with appropriate solvent. Place in an approved container and seal.
Containment: Cover with absorbent material.
Handling and storage
Precautions in handling and storage: Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before re-use. Avoid eye contact. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapours/fumes. Use in a well-ventilated area.
Store in tightly closed containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye protection: Safety glasses or goggles with full face shield.
Respiratory protection: Use organic respirator.
Skin protection: Rubber gloves (such as neoprene or nitrile rubber), protective clothing.
Engineering control: Local exhaust recommended.
Stability and reactivity
Incompatibility: Strong oxidising agents, acids, alkalies
Hazardous Decomposition: Not available.
Condition to avoid: Elevated temperatures
Hazardous polymerization: Will not occur.
Stability: Stable.
Reactivity hazard: On burning: release of narcotic/asphyxiating gases/vapours carbon monoxide - carbon dioxide. Reacts exothermically on exposure to with (some) acids/bases.
Disposal considerations
Waste disposal: Incinerate in an industrial or commercial facility. Disposal alternative: dispose of completely absorbed waste product in a facility permitted to accept chemical wastes. Since regulations vary, consult applicable regulations or authorities before disposal.
According to literature: no environmental hazard.
Take up liquid spill into inert absorbent material e.g. sand/earth - adsorbed substance: scope closing drums.
