Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing.
In case of inhalation:
Remove from exposure site to fresh air and keep at rest. Obtain medical advice.
In case of skin contact:
Remove any contaminated clothing or shoes. Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes.
In case of eyes contact:
Remove contact lenses. Hold eyelids apart. Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes.
In case of ingestion:
Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Rinse mouth with water. Obtain medical advice.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
No data available.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No data available.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not applicable.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Decomposition under effect of heating (See also Section Hazardous decomposition products).
Advice for fire-fighters:
Firefighters must wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For non-emergency personnel:
Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapour or dust. Avoid skin and eye contact.
For emergency responders:
Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if mist, vapor or dust is generated.
Environmental Precautions:
Avoid disposing into drainage/sewer system or directly into the aquatic environment.
Methods for Containment and Cleaning up:
Small spills may be flushed away with copious water. Absorb large spills with sand or inert powder.
Reference to other sections:
See "Handling and storge" for information on safe handling.
See "Exposure controls/personal protection" for information on personal protection equipment.
See "Disposal considerations" for information on disposal.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Protective measures:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
Use with adequate ventilation. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Keep containers closed.
Advice on general occupational hygiene:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Keep container tightly closed.
Store separately from oxidizing agents.
Specific end use(s):
Not applicable.
