Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: sediment simulation testing
Data waiving:

Justification for type of information:
Moreover, due to its chemical and physical nature, emissions of GALDEN LMW in the environment, if any, are anticipated only to the atmosphere. Indirect exposure of water, sediment and soil is expected to be negligible as according to environmental fate modelling, GALDEN LMW is expected to distribute essentially to the atmosphere while distribution to the other environmental compartments is expected to be negligible on all temporal scales.
Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available

Justification for type of information:
Moreover, due to its chemical and physical nature, emissions of GALDEN LMW in the environment, if any, are possible only to the atmosphere. Indirect exposure of water, sediment and soil is expected to be neglibigle as according to environmentan fate modelling, GALDEN LMW is expected to distribute to the atmosphere while distribution to the other environmental compartments is expected to be negligible on all temporal scales.

Description of key information

Galden LMW is not expected to undergo significant biodegradation in the environment.
