Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

(72 h) ErL50 and EbL50 22-46 mg/L WAFs and NOEL 4.6 mg/L (>LoS).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A reliable (72 h) ErL50 and EbL50 values of 22-46 mg/L as water accomodated fractions (WAFs) have been determined for the effects of NEODOL 45E on the growth rate and biomass on the freshwater algae Raphidocelis subcapitata (new name: Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata). A (72 h) NOEL value of 4.6 mg/L has also been determined during the same experiment. The water solubility of the test substance is 0.7 mg/L at 20 egC [Bridie et al. 1973, <1.3 [Sasol] and 0.15 mg/l at a loading rate of 1000 mg/L, therefore Alcohols, C14 -15 are non-toxic at the limit of solubility (>LoS).

This is the only reliable value and has been selected as key.
