Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There are no experimental data on environmental distribution of tributyl phosphate. QSAR modeling predicts that tributyl phosphate will volatize slowly from surface water with TD50 = 28.3 days (river) and 314.5 days (lake).

The value for soil organic carbon-water partition coefficient (logKoc = 3.24 -3.37) suggests that tributyl phosphate may be adsorbed onto soil and sediment and, therefore, is not likely to be mobile in these environmental media and is not likely to leach to the ground water.

The data on environmental distribution of tributyl phosphate obtained from the level III fugacity model confirms that tributyl phosphate is likely to degrade fast and depending on various emission scenarios, most of tributyl phosphate will be degraded within days-weeks.
