In a new mathematical evaluation, critical concentrations of BASF AG Algae test 289/89, has been re-calculated, in order to allow an assessment based on growth rate and biomass (according to the requirements given in OECD guideline 201). (BASF AG 2007, 02/w289/88)

The mathematical evaluation was based on a linear relationship between fluorescence and cell number and raw data were equated with cell numbers.
