One unpublished study report from BASF is available. The melting point of Potassium sulfite was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry in accordance with the OECD guideline 102.

No melting temperature was found between 20 °C and 590 °C. The melting point of the test substance, Potassium sulfite, is greater than 590°C.
