Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The boiling point of the substance is determined to be 377.7 °C at 1013.25 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
377.7 °C

Additional information

The boiling poing is derived from a weight-of-evidence-approach of three experimental studies and two values derived from literature sources. The studies determined the boiling point of the subtance by using the dynamic method to be between 377.2 and 377.7 °C at 1013.25 hPa. This was supported by the values from literature. The GESTIS database reports the boiling point to be 377 °C at 1013.25 hPa and the Physical Properties of Triphenyl Compounds of Group VB Elements report the boiling point to be 384 °C at ambient pressure. All values are in the same range.Taking into account the standard of determination and documentation the value from the experimental study of 1991 is choosen to be the most valid and therefore as the key value for the boiling point.
