It can be expected that the components of the substance are not bioavailable at all. Due to their hydrophobicity, it is very likely that components will adsorb to sediment and particulate matter. Furthermore, steric hindrance at passage of gill membranes or cell membranes of respiratory organs can be very important for substances that have a molecular weight higher than 500 or a molecular size larger than 9.5 A.
