Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 21-day LC50 for parental survival was 0.305 mg/L, the overall LOEC was >0.134 mg/L and the overall NOEC was 0.134 based on measured concentrations (Daphnia magna).

Additional information

Acute toxicity

The key fish and algae studies of MMT(EHTG) were performed using measured concentrations. A 100 % Water-Accommodated Fraction (WAF) (6.0 mg/L) was not lethal to zebra fish (B. rerio) (LC50 > 6 mg/L); however, non-lethal effects with respect to the condition of the test animals were reported; the NOEC was 3.6 mg/L (56 % of the WAF). A 99 % Water Soluble Fraction (WSF) (1.84 mg/L) produced only a slight inhibitory effect on S. subspicatus and the NOEC was 0.595 mg/L (33 % of the WSF).

Chronic Toxicity

Parental mortality was 100 % in Daphnia magna exposed to 50 % (0.694 mg/L) and 100% (2.315 mg/L) of the Water-Accommodated Fraction of MMT(EHTG). Reproduction was not affected at concentrations up to 0.134 mg/L (10 % of the WAF). The 21-day LC50 for parental survival was 0.305 mg/L, the overall LOEC was >0.134 mg/L and the overall NOEC was 0.134 based on measured concentrations.

Toxicity to Microorganisms

The highest percent inhibition value obtained in the study for the test substance vessels was 11.0 %. The EC50 value is therefore greater than 1000 mg/L, the highest concentration tested.
