Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The substance does not contain any functional groups identified in the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, Appendix 6, Table A6.1, as being associated with explosive properties.

A guideline study is available. Based on test results with steel sleeve test (thermal sensitivity, effect of a flame), falling hammer (mechanical sensitivity, shock) and friction apparatus (mechanical sensitivity, friction) the substance is not explosive. This study is considered to be reliable and adequate, and is carried forward for use in risk assessment, classification and labelling.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, Annex I, part 2, 2.1. The available data are considered reliable and suitable for classification.
