Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

SHORT-TERM TOXICITY

For Monoglyme short-term aquatic ecotoxicity studies for all three trophic levels (fish, daphnia and algae) are available as well as studies on sludge respiration inhibition.

 Fish:  OECD 203   LC50 (96h)   > 5000 mg/L   Read across from Triglyme
 Daphnia:  OECD 202  EC50 (48h)  4000 mg/L  Key Study
 Algae:  OECD 201  ErC50 (72h)  9120 mg/L  Key Study
 Microorganisms (Sludge)  OECD 209  NOEC (3h)  EC50 (3h)  200 mg/L  > 6400 mg/L  Key Study

The short-term ecotoxicity data were used for the derivation of the PNEC aqua intermittent release (see Section 6 Monoglyme PNEC).

LONG-TERM TOXICITY

Monoglyme, Read across 21d Daphnia

For reasons given in the waiving statements Section 6.1.2 no long-term fish toxicity tests were carried out. Instead a Diglyme long-term invertebrate study with daphnia was established. This 21d daphnia study with Diglyme was used for read across to Monoglyme (see Section 6.1.4) for justification.

Algae: OECD 201   ErC10 (72h) 3793 mg/L   Key Study
Daphnia:  OECD 211  NOEC (21d)  320 mg/L  Read Across from Digylme

The algae ErC10 (72h) and the daphnia NOEC (21d) were used to derive the PNEC aqua for continuous release (see Section 6 Monoglyme PNEC).
