Additional information

One ready biodegradability study is available for 2-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol (TRIS AMINO). This study was used as key study for the assessment. The study was conducted following the OECD guideline 301 F and according to GLP (Hales, 2011). Activated sludge was used as inoculum. By the end of the 28-day test period, biodegradation reached 100.7%, based on BOD, or 65.9%, based on CO2 evolution. 60% biodegradation was exceeded within the 10-day window.
