Additional information

The tests by Juhnke (1978) were following an early guideline, however, the testing period was only 48h. Losses by volatilisation were possible. The results reported by Könemann (1981) are considered to be more reliable considering maintenance of the test substance concentration (the test solution was replaced daily and the aquaria glass covered) and the extended test period (14d). The guideline flow-through study by Geiger (1986) is considered to be the most reliable result, however, the most conservative value (Könemann) is selected as the key parameter to be taken forward to the risk assessment.

The studies by Dawson (1976) are considered to be unreliable due to probable loss of test substance through volatilisation.

The available data is considered to be adequate and conclusive for classification and labelling, and risk assessment purposes, based on the weight-of-evidence.
