- Remarks on result:
- other: No burning in contact with flame for 20 minutes
Pyrophoric solids
- Test procedure:
- ignition time on contact with air
- Remarks:
- Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
- Remarks on result:
- no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
- Remarks:
- corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Pyrophoric liquids
- Test procedure:
- ignition time on contact with air
- Remarks:
- Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
- Remarks on result:
- no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
- Remarks:
- corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Any other information on results incl. tables
No independent combustion of the dust layer occured.
At contact with the flame of a natural gas burner a local red glowing of the dust particles in the effective range of the flame occured. The glowing particles went out after removing of the ignition source.
Also at conact with a glowing platinum wire of approximately 1000°C over at lease 5 minutes, no glowing could be observed.
Applicant's summary and conclusion

- The study is of good quality and concludes that the sample is not flammable
- Executive summary:
The study is of good quality and concludes that the sample is not a readily combustible solid of class 4.1.
