Additional information

Di-tert amyl peroxide is a liquid organic peroxide, Type E (determined by UN test method), with a SADT (Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature) >75°C.

The substance has a low melting point (-55°C reported in literature); the boiling point has been waived as the substance will decompose before boiling. The flash point is 29°C at atmospheric pressure, which triggers a classification as Flammable Liquid Cat 3.

The vapor pressure is 14.7hPa, thus the substance is considered to have a moderate fugacity for the purpose of risk assessment.

Regarding the environmental physchem, the relative density at 20°C is 0.82, and log Kow is 4.7.
