Description of key information

One key study has been identified to assess the long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate, Daphnia magna. This study followed the OECD 211 guideline and was GLP-complaint.

Additional information

The 21-day-chronic toxicity of allyl alcohol to Daphnia magna was assessed under semi-static renewal conditions. Daphnids were exposed to control and test chemical at measured concentrations of 0, 0.046, 0.10, 0.22, 0.46, 1.0 and 2.2 mg/l.  The 21-day parental EC50 based on mortality was 1.36 mg /l. Production of offsprings in the treated groups indicated that allyl alcohol had inhibited the rate of reproduction at concentrations greater than 0.919 mg/l (NOEC = 0.919 mg/l).
