Details on results:
According to the OECD 202 guidline this study can be regarded as valid, since
- in the control not more than 10% of animals were immobilised or showed any other signs of diseases, for example discoloration or unusual behaviour such as trapping on surface
- the dissoved oxygen concentration was >/- 3 mg/l at the end of the test in control and test vessels
Results with reference substance (positive control):
not applicable
Reported statistics and error estimates:
no statistics reported

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Remarks:
- in the control not more than 10% of animals were immobilised or showed any other signs of diseases, for example discoloration or unusual behaviour such as trapping on surface;
Conclusions:
According to the results of the test, the EC50 (48 H) for immobilisation was determined to be 15,4 mg/L (nominal).

The corresponding NOEC (48 h) was determined to be 9.39 mg/L (nominal):
Executive summary:

The toxicological endpoints were evaluated using nominal concentrations of the test item.

The total hardness of the unreated control was determined to be 12°dH (214 mg/L CaCO3); the mean pH-value of the untreated control was determined to be 7.95 +/- 0.18 (Std. Dev.), the mean temperature of the control and all test item concentrations was measured to be 20.2 +/- 0.9°C (Std. Dev.) and the mean oxygen concentration was determined to be 8.7 +/- 0.2 mg/L (Std. Dev.).
