A study was conducted according to OECD TG 117 to determine the logPow of the test item. Therefore 15.78 mg of the test item were dissolved in 100 mL of acetonitrile and the retention time in the HPLC system was measured. For calibration according to the guideline 6 reference standards were prepared. The retention time of test item peak was longer than the retention time of DDT, the reference compound with the largest log Pow value available for this method. Thus it can be concluded, that the log Pow of the test item is larger than the log Pow value of DDT (6.5).
A calculated log Pow was determined: 11.11 at 25 °C
