Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish: Determination of Acute toxicity to Rainbow trout (Oncorhynhcus mykiss (fresh water species)) under flow through conditions:
Short-term toxicity to fish: LC50 (96h) = 30 mg/l (26-34 mg/l, 95% confidence intervals) for Oncorhynhcus mykiss (EPA OPP 72-1 (Fish Acute Toxicity Test), flow-through)
Determination of Acute toxicity to Sheepshead minnow (Cyprinodon variegatus, (marine species)) under flow through conditions.
Short-term toxicity to fish: LC50 (96h) = 38 mg/l (95% confidence intervals 27-43 mg/l) for Cyprinodon variegatus (EPA OPP 72-1 (Fish Acute Toxicity Test), flow-through)

Additional information

Fluometuron is of low toxicity to fish:

The 96 hour LC50 for fluometuron under flow through conditions was 30 mg/l (26-34 mg/l, 95% confidence intervals). The NOEC was 4.3 mg/l based on darkened pigmentation at 7.7 mg/l.

The 96 hour LC50 for marine water fish (sheepshead minnow (Cyprinodon variegatus)) for fluometuron under flow through conditions was 38 mg/l (95% confidence intervals 27-43 mg/l), and the NOEC was 17 mg/l.
