Any other information on results incl. tables

Two test series of 3 measurements each were performed with the fine fraction of the test item.

Test series 1:

D10:      2.59 µm

D50:      12.2 µm              (Volume median diameter)

D90:      85.0 µm

Test series 2:

D10:      2.50 µm

D50:      13.1 µm              (Volume median diameter)

D90:      90.1 µm

Average

D10:      2.55 µm

D50:      12.7 µm              (Volume median diameter)

D90:      87.6 µm

The investigation of the test item by laser diffraction resulted in a volume median diameter (VMD) of 12.7 µm. Combined with the relative density of 1.40 and a shape factor K = 1 for spheric particles the MMAD was calculated to be 15.0 µm.

The test itemN-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide shows a volume median diameter (VMD) D50 of 13 µm and a MMAD of 15 µm.
