The acute effects of Reactive Olive F00 -0149 to aquatic organisms were tested in three guideline compliant studies under GLP, covering three trophic levels: In a 96-h toxicity study in zebra fish (Danio rerio) and a 48-h immobility test in Daphnia magna the limit test concentration of 100 mg/L did not induce any advers effects. Growth inhibition to algae was tested at test concentrations ranging between 0.4 and 100 mg/L. There were no compound related adverse effects on algae since it could be demonstrated that growth inhbition was exclusively caused by light attenuation of the coloured test substance.
