Target CAS no. 68442-68-2–Benzenamine, N-phenyl-, styrenated: Summary

Bioaccumulation: aquatic/sediment

EPI Suite, 2015:The estimated bioconcentration factor (BCF) for Benzenamine, N-phenyl-, styrenated is 1827 L/kg, that does not exceed the bioconcentration threshold of 2000. Thus it is concluded that Benzenamine, N-phenyl-, styrenated is not expected to bioaccumulate in the food chain because it does not exceed the BCF criteria.

In a supporting study on similar substance CAS no.10081 -67 -1:

Japan chemicals collborative knowledge database (J-check), 2016:Bioaccumulation test was conducted for 56 days for estimating the bioconcentration factor (BCF) and lipid content of test substanceBenzenamine, 4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)-N-(4-(1-methyl-1-phenylethyl)phenyl)-in test organism Cyprinus carpio.

Range finding study was carried out on Rice fish (Oryzias latipes) and the 48 hr TLm value was found to be >500mg/l.

The lipid content was found to be 4.4%, respectively.

The test substance concentration in environment was 0.1 mg/l, 0.01 mg/l and bioconcentration (BCF) value of test substance was found to be in the range of 12-57l/kg and 53-124, respectively. Thus, the test substance have a low bioconcentration potential in test organism Cyprinus carpio during 56 day period.
