Executive summary:

The present study was conducted to determine the partition coefficient of FAT 40865/A TE. The partition coefficient of FAT 40865/A TE was studied in n-Octanol : distilled water incubated under laboratory conditions at 23.4°C using the shake flask method. The samples were analyzed by HPLC. The ratio of n‑Octanol: distilled water used in the study was 1:1, 2:1 and 1:2. The mean log partition coefficient (log Kow) of FAT 40865/A TE determined in n-Octanol : distilled water was 3.05±0.002. The mean partition coefficient (Kow) was 1132. Hence, based on the findings of the study, FAT 40865/A TE was determined to have a mean Kow of 1132 and log10 Kow of 3.05±0.002 at 23.4°C.
