Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove victiom to fresh air; give artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Get medical attention.
Eye Contact: Flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
Skin Contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed, do not induce vomitting; rinse mouth with water; get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

General Hazard: Substance will burn if involved in fire; Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide will be formed upon combustion.
Fire Fighting Instructions: Extinguish with water fog or spray, CO2, dry chemical, alcohol-resistant foam or earth/mud. DO NOT use direct water stream, as material will be spread, treat as burning oil.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Gives off irritating or toxic fumes/gases in a fire. Releases Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide.

Accidental release measures

Land Spill: Contain spill and pump into containers for disposal. Avoid run off into sewers and storm drains. Contain small spills and absorb with an inert material, such as sand and vermiculite.
Water Spill: Remove from water surface by skimming or with suitable absorbents, such as straw.

Handling and storage

Storage Temperature: Ambient.
Storage Pressure: Pressureless.
General: General warehousing conditions. Store separated from strong oxidants.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering Controls: Local exhaust ventilation is recommended.
Personal Protection: Use splash proof goggles. Use approved polyvinyl alcohol or rubber gloves. Use approved respirator. Use protective clothing.

Stability and reactivity

General: Stable under normal warehousing, handling and use conditions.
Incompatable Materials and Conditions to Avoid: Strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous Decomposition: Substance decomposes on heating producing irritating fumes. Reacts with strong oxidants.

Disposal considerations

Incineration by a permitted hazardous waste facility in accordance with local and national legislation is the preferred method of disposal.
