The test substance was tested for its flammable properties following UN TDG Method N.1.
The test substance melted on application of the ignition source and burned with a yellow flame, but combustion ceased immediately on removal of the burner flame. There was no propagation along the test pile. No further testing was necessary.

Fully reliable GLP experimental studies are available:
Flammability of solids was evaluated according to UN N1 method, and is presented under point 4.13. Additionally, as a low melting solid, the substance was also tested for Flash Point according to ISO/EU closed cup method, and is presented under point 4.11. Both are considered as key studies.
Based on the chemical structure and experience, no flammable properties are anticipated if contact with air or water, therefore studies were deemed unnecessary.
Justification for classification or non-classification
According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) and UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS) criteria, the substance as solid did not propagate combustion in the preliminary test, the substance is NOT classified as a flammable solid.
The Flash Point result is above the threshold value of 93°C of UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS), therefore the test substance is NOT classified as a flammable liquid.
As the substance is still solid at the upper classification threshold of 60°C, the Flash Point is not relevant for CLP criteria.
