- Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam

EXTINGUISHING AGENTS UNSUITABLE FOR SAFETY REASONS

- Water with full jet

SPECIAL HAZARDS CAUSED BY THE MATERIAL, ITS PRODUCTS OF COMBUSTION OR RESULTING GASES

- Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

- Mount respiratory protective device

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations

Accidental release measures

PERSON-RELATED SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

- Wear protective equipment

- Keep unprotected persons away

MEASURES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

- Dilute with plenty of water

- Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water

MEASURES FOR CLEANING/COLLECTING

- Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust)

- Use neutralising agent

- Dispose of contaminated material as waste

- Ensure adequate ventilation

Exposure controls / personal protection

COMPONENTS WITH LIMIT VALUES THAT REQUIRE MONITORING IN THE WORKPLACE

7722-84-1 hydrogen peroxide solution (2.5-10 %)

OES short-term value 2.8 mg/cubic metre, 2 ppm

OES long-term value 1.4 mg/cubic metre, 1 ppm

7664-93-9 sulphuric acid (90-100 %)

OES long-term value 1 mg/cubic metre

GENERAL PROTECTIVE AND HYGIENIC MEASURES

- Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed

- Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

- Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work

- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin

BREATHING EQUIPMENT

- Use suitable respiratory protective device in case of insufficient ventilation

PROTECTION OF HANDS

- Acid resistant gloves where the the glove material is impermeable and resistant to the product / the substance / the preparation

- Due to missing tests, no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product / the substance / the preparation / the chemical mixture

- Select glove material after consideration of penetration times, rates of diffusion and degradation

GLOVE MATERIAL

- Selection of suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a multi-constituent substance, the resistance of the glove material cannot be calculated in advance and therefore has to be checked prior to the application.

PENETRATION OF GLOVE MATERIAL

- The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

EYE PROTECTION

- Safety glasses

BODY PROTECTION

- Protective work clothing

Stability and reactivity

THERMAL DECOMPOSITION / CONSIDERATIONS TO BE AVOIDED

- No decomposition if used according to specifications

DANGEROUS REACTIONS

- Reacts with alkalis (lyes)

- Heating occurs when water is added

DANGEROUS PRODUCTS OF DECOMPOSITION

- Poisonous gases / vapours

Disposal considerations

PRODUCT

- Must not be disposed of together with household garbage

- Do not allow product to reach sewage system

UNCLEANED PACKAGING

- Disposal must take place according to official regulations

CLEANSING AGENT

- Water, if necessary with cleansing agents
